A play within a play; a small amateur theatre group are performing a murder mystery set on a boat in the 1930s, ‘Death At Sea’ but everything falls apart, literally.
Set falls down, props break, actors get concussed and drunk, and with the mics left on in the wings, all the drama is spilled into the audience. In ‘Death at Sea’ only one character should die, but in this group’s production one actor is continually killed off, though he keeps returning- as the show descends into farce.
‘Death(s) at Sea’ was performed by Our Star Theatre in a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe in Autumn 2024.
