Author and Poet

Writing Sketches

Robert Black has been writing for more than thirty years.  He enjoys writing because it gives him the chance to be himself.  He has written many poems, but the only one he can be relied on to remember is “There Once Was A Rhyme” and goes like this:

There once was a time when cats could rhyme, And small furry kittens in warm woollen mittens Meowed their way to school each day, And sat in rows and tickled their toes While teacher tapped out rhymes on the big-black-board.

He also likes writing comedy sketches, and has happy memories of listening to “The Navy Lark” and “The Men From The Ministry” on the radio on a Sunday afternoon.
